Vegetable Biryani

Step-by-step Vegetable Biryani recipe made with Mom Masale ingredients for authentic Indian flavour.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Basmati Rice (80% cooked)
  • 1½ cups Mixed Vegetables
  • 2 tbsp Mom Masale Biryani Masala 🛒 Shop Biryani Masala
  • ½ cup Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • ¼ cup (for garnish) Fried Onions

Method

  1. Marinate the mixed vegetables with the yogurt and Mom Masale Biryani Masala for 15 minutes.
  2. Cook the marinated vegetables until they are tender.
  3. In a heavy-bottomed pot, spread a layer of the cooked vegetables.
  4. Add a layer of the partially cooked basmati rice over the vegetables.
  5. Drizzle with ghee and sprinkle fried onions on top.
  6. Cover the pot tightly and cook on low heat ("dum") for about 10 minutes.
  7. Gently fluff the biryani before serving.
  8. Serve hot with raita or pickle.
